This Hanten jacket is a unique textile work, handmade in an approach where clothing becomes a medium of expression.

The patchwork brings together fragments of fabric individually dyed with natural indigo. Each element bears the memory of the gesture, revealing a diversity of motifs from traditional shibori techniques - Arashi, Itajime, Hira-nui, Ne-maki, Ori-nui, Honeycomb - as well as batik reserves. The result is a living surface that is both structured and organic.

The garment is lined in double-gauge cotton fleece, then quilted entirely by hand using Sashiko embroidery stitches. This slow work inscribes the rhythm of the gesture into the material, bringing density, relief and coherence to the whole.

The natural indigo dyeing process produces different shades of blue. There is a patch pocket on the bottom right.

With its loose fit, this jacket is part of the Hanten tradition, but at the same time breaks away from it: it can be worn, but it can also be seen as a work in its own right.

Every detail is the result of time and exacting craftsmanship. This piece is unique.
