Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions section. Here you will find clear answers to the most frequently asked questions about my work, Shibori, natural dyeing, workshops and sales of artwork.<\/strong><\/p>

1. What is Shibori?<\/strong><\/p>

Shibori is an ancient Japanese textile art that involves creating patterns through resists on fabric before dyeing. This includes techniques such as sewing, folding, tying, or compressing. Shibori is often dyed with indigo. For more details, please go to About<\/a>.<\/p>

2. Do you use natural dyes?<\/strong><\/p>

Yes, all my fabrics are dyed using natural dyes, particularly indigo (fermented or extracted), sometimes combined with other plant-based dyes. I favour an eco-friendly, artisanal approach. For more details, please go to About<\/a>.<\/p>

3. Can I buy your work?<\/strong><\/p>

Yes, certain pieces are available for sale on my website<\/a><\/strong> or at special events. You can also contact me<\/a> directly for orders or collaborations.<\/p>

4. Do you offer courses or workshops?<\/strong><\/p>

Yes, I organise small group courses in Shibori and natural dyeing, mainly in France. You can find all the upcoming dates on the Agenda<\/a> page or contact me<\/a> for a specific request.<\/p>

5. Where are you based?<\/strong><\/p>

I live and work in B\u00e8gles, near Bordeaux, France, but my courses can take place elsewhere depending on invitations.<\/p>

6. How can I contact you?<\/strong><\/p>

7. How can I learn Shibori on my own?<\/strong><\/p>

I recommend consulting the Useful links<\/a> page, which lists reliable resources such as books, videos and recommended workshops.<\/p>

8. How should I care for naturally indigo-dyed textiles?<\/strong><\/p>

Natural indigo-dyed textiles are living pieces that evolve over time. To care for them, I recommend washing them by hand in cold water with a mild organic detergent without bleaching agents. Avoid excessive rubbing, especially when dry, to preserve the intensity of the colour. It is best to dry your items in the shade, flat or hung up, away from direct sunlight. Some colour may run during the first few washes: this is completely normal and will fade naturally.
